Opportunely based between their powerful northern neighbour the United States, and the emerging economies of Central and South America, Mexico serves as a bridge between the latin and English worlds on the American continent. It is second-largest economy in Latin America, only trailing Brazil, and despite being hit far harder than its neighbours by the recent global crisis the recovery is well underway.

Important industries in the nation include the production of electronics, where it holds the distinction of being the largest manufacturer of televisions in the world. Tourism is also a massive sector, thanks to a constant influx of visitors from the neighbouring United States, pristine beaches both on the Pacific and Caribbean coasts and a wealth of heritage sites dating back from before the arrival of the European conquistadors. There are still many challenges for the government headed by President Enrique Peña Nieto to face, but overall Mexico represents an extremely large and productive global market for potential investors.

The Mexican economy has gone from strength to strength over the last decade, and as a result companies are increasingly looking to export to the region.
